Blue Point Camp
East Shore of Kootenay Lake

The camp is about a half hour drive from Creston.

Longhouse:
well equipped, 50ft. x 60ft.; with electricity
Two cooking ranges, three refrigerators, a commercial sized electric grill, and an electric clothes dryer
piped in hot and cold running water
an air-tight wood heater - not entirely adequate in really cold weather
outdoor biffies - (well, we had to keep it somewhat primitive !!)
The camp is used year round, although the water is shut off in the Fall to prevent frozen pipes, and water is carried from the lake in pails. There is a fairly primitive bunk room, with 6 bunks - sometimes used for Leaders quarters, and/or Sick Bay.

Facilities:
6 tent platforms among the trees, with fire pits for cooking
nice beach for swimming and boating
fire pit on the beach for cooking and campfires
hiking trails
Out Trips
Attractions and distance from camp:
within walking distance of famous Glass House built entirely of bottles
world's longest free ferry ride - fairly short drive away
Creston Valley Wildlife Center, an internationally acclaimed RAMSAR site - 50 minute drive
