Our Sparks and Brownies did a joint Halloween party and had a great time, as well as some good bridging! They rotated through different centers involving such "treats" as crafts, games, songs, and good Guiding fun!
These are pictures of our Sparks over the last few years. At their spring sleepover last year all the girls had so much fun decorating their new ponchos, and they looked so cute wearing them that it made for a great photo opportunity! Two years ago, they hosted a Teddy Bear sleepover which was a great hit as they got to bring thier favourite stuffy bear to camp. Also done last year was a formal "tea" where they got to invite a friend and dress up...of course they also enjoyed lovely Girl Guide mint cookies, too. Yum!_____________As a part of celebrating the 95th birthday of Guiding in Canada, we used the theme for our joint advancement between Sparks, Brownies, and Guides to Pathfinders. Each unit had a special "cake" decorated and they took turns blowing out the candles (which is always the most fun!).
"Feel the Pulse"
____________________The Brownies kicked off the new year with a lot of activity! While working towards their Key to Active Living they used the local elementary school jym to earn the "Feel the Pulse" badge. Thanks to Snowy Owl's husband, the Brownies got a quick lesson in floor hockey. What great fun...even the Owls and Commissioner Dallys got involved! Afterwards, it was very easy to find our pulse!!_____________________
